Teaching Assistant

Duties:
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities
– Provide support to students with their academic work, including individual or small group instruction
– Assist in classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
– Help supervise students during recess, lunch, and other non-instructional periods
– Assist with behavior management and implementing strategies to promote positive behavior
– Support students with special needs or learning disabilities as directed by the lead teacher
– Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback

Skills:
– Experience working with students in an educational setting, such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
– Ability to handle challenging behaviors and maintain a calm and patient demeanor
– Organizational skills to assist with lesson preparation and classroom materials management
– Knowledge of classroom technology and software applications used for instruction
– Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide differentiated instruction as needed
